Bids for the 27th International Congress of Onomastic Sciences (2020)

The Institute of Polish Language of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Department of Polonistics at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, 

together with the Institute of the Czech Language of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague, 

and the Faculty of Arts, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, have expressed their interest in hosting the 27th International Congress of Onomastic Sciences in 2020. 



According to the official letter submitted by Prof. Barbara Czopek-Kopciuch on behalf of the organising team, the Congress would be held in Kraków in four working languages (English, French, German, and Russian). The event will focus on “Onomastics in Interaction with Other Sciences” and will create the opportunity to present the current state of onomastic research in West Slavonic countries.
